Museum of the American Printing house for the blind

We had our first field trip for second grade at the Museum of the American Printing house for the blind in Louisville. They also have a factory there where tours are available. On the way to Louisville we stopped at a park and had a lovely sunny picnic. The museum was absolutely full of history and hands on learning tools. Lola really enjoyed trying all the seeing tools. For instance there were different walking sticks with different ends. And there were some raised maps, that we tried to find lakes and rivers on. And her favorite part was the braille type writer where she typed her name and then some secret messages for dad to decode later.
