Apple Orchard

Apples, Apples Everywhere..We went with our Terrific Tuesday class and Kiku to pick some fresh apples at Gizdich Ranch. Oh it smelled delicious. First we had a little picnic then headed over to the field full of wonderful apple trees. The trees were pruned short so it was easy to reach for the kids. We each filled a pail of some red apples.

Apple day at Homeschool

We learned a lot about apples today. We made an apple book, cut open and apple to see the star inside, and of course had some to eat. We also talked about Johnny Appleseed. She's looking forward to going to an orchard tomorrow to pick some apples herself.

Watching some tv with the lizard

Do you see the lizard? It's a little camouflaged with Lola's dress. They were hanging out on the bed watching a little tv. She's really enjoyed having a new pet.

Chandelier Tree

For those of you who have a free day to spend enjoying Northern California’s landscape, heading up to drive through the Chandelier tree is a great way to spend it. The tree was huge and it was amazing to drive inside of a tree, but it did take us 4 hours to get there. So instead of driving straight home we decided to drive the coast a bit. Around every turn were breath taking views of the Pacific ocean. We kept stopping to take pictures. We found a most beautiful beach that was perfect for dipping your toes in the ocean. Oh how lovely to be at the beach where there is so much space to run wild.

Princess face painting

Creative Play is always an adventure at our house. Lola has the most interesting ideas of what to play. She paints her own face too. She is starting to enjoy the dolls that go with the doll house now a little more than the animals. (I think it has something to do with the princess dresses) She has them clean up the house before they can go to the ball.
