Score!!!

Here's Lola after the TRick orTReatin

Happy HALLoWEEn!

After spending a week or so sewing up the costumes we were ready just in time for Halloween. Lola wanted us to dress up too. AND it turned out to be so much fun. Happy Halloween & Happy Anniversary!

Boo at the Zoo

Searching for clues around the zoo to work the scavenger hunt was a fun way to earn a goody bag... We took some of Lola's friends from church along for the fun. It was a little foggy most of the day so you can't tell that Lola is wearing a sleeping beauty dress. The zoo gave free ride tickets to all the kids in costume. They picked the train to ride. Fedex was giving away these little flashing badges too for the kids to wear later that night.

Who's that girl

Imagine if the Doll had her Daddy's thick black hair... She has been enjoying wearing the halloween wigs of our past.. She really liked the long black hair.

Library

We made it to a fun story time @ the library. Lola is doing ring around the rosies with her cat pickles. We try to check out as many books that will fit in our bag and one movie once a week. We read them over and over until it's time to take them back.

Halloween party @ school

Lola had mommy and daddy come to school to meet her friends and play at her party. It was fun to see all the kids dressed up as the different characters. mommy and daddy made some little ghost apple bites (using a tulip cookie cutter). They made some cute picture frames with halloween stickers. They also went on a parade around the playground to the monster mash song.

cookies and crafts

Sugar season is upon us! Cookie's and candy and more candy!!! We had fun making some sugar cookies with our halloween cookie cutters and some candy when one of the Doll's girlfriends came to play. The girls had fun making some felt pumpkins and bracelets too.

Halloween Dress

Doll picked out the fabric and Mommy made her a cute little Halloween dress. She was pretty sleepy one morning before school and mommy had made the dress while she was sleeping. So when she woke up with an 'I'm not getting out of bed look" mommy was sure that saying I've a surprise for you, would doo the trick.. And it did. She set straight up and said what is it.?? She wore it to school and was so proud.

Tiger! RRRR

After a refreshing morning at preschool, Lola came home and wanted to be a tiger. So we painted her face with the halloween paints to look stripey like a tiger. She made faces in a little hand held mirror. Watch out! RRRRR

sooo sleepy.....

After staying up way past her bedtime to go see the show.... The Doll did not get enough beauty rest. She was soo tired the next morning for school. I thought I'd take a picture to share.. It's cute. (PS this is one of the little dresses mommy made..)

Freight Fest!

Six flags had halloween on all weekends in October. So we took the Doll there to go trick or treating as Cinderella one afternoon. She thought that was pretty cool. We also went on an elephant ride and the Doll petted, fed and KISSED a dolphin!

Polka Dot Girls

Polka Dot girls headed off to church. We've enjoyed hearing the Doll sing Jesus loves me, all week after going to Sunday School. Mommy and Daddy have been helping teach the kindergarden and 1st grade class. The Doll is really interested in hearing the Bible stories too. She asks what we talked about in our class. It's cute.

Diwali @ daddy's work

At Daddy work they had a little Diwali celebration for the families. They had some kids dancing and some sitar playing and some food. Lola kept asking when would it be her turn to go up and dance. We told her that these girls had been practicing and we were just there to watch. We also had some henna tattoos. Mommy had a peacock and the Doll had a butterfly.

Snow White visits the old lady who lives in a shoe

Of course Snow White was most excited to visit Fairytale land.. She is so fun. We always have a great adventure when we go on our outings. Soo many of the kids kept telling her that they loved her dress that by the time we were about ready to go she said she wanted to hide her dress so none of the other kids could see it....

I'd like to try riding the carriage...

Our girl has a mind of her own... Imagine that:) Lola and Mommy spent the day downtown sf while Daddy was working at a conference. So we went to the carousel and the Doll wanted to ride the carriage instead of a horse. She said, "It's taking us to the ball" We also went to the cartoon museum and the zeum museum. She loved singing karaoke and doing the dance video there. At the Cartoon museum they had several pictures from Sleeping beauty.

spotted ray and no squids...

Puppets! Can't go wrong with plenty of sea creature puppets. Museums today are so interactive for the little guys (I'm jealous..) Well, sometimes we pick a sea creature to focus on at our visit to the aquarium. So we decided we wanted to see the differences between squids and octopus.. We are very fond of giant octopus they have, we've enjoyed them a lot... but we were a little sad to find out that they don't have squid.. not even a little tiny baby one... so we had to come home and youtube it..... Thank goodness for youtube. We also enjoyed watching the great white shark lurking around the top of the shark tank.
