New Friend

Lola wanted to get a new cat so we let her spend her birthday money to get this cat- that is as close to a real cat as she can have at our apt. She loves it, "Jasper's" eyes move and he meows and purrs..  The day was spent with cleaning up the cars, changing out the fish water, some shopping and swimming. The boys went out to see Knight&Day later with Dad.

Toystory 3

Did we mention that Lola went to see the new Toy Story3? She enjoyed it and so did mom and dad. She's been playing with her Jessie doll too now. We just hung out at the house today and played and played. It's still hard to believe that our girl is 4.ps- thanks Granny for the sweet blue dress.:)

Hiking with the bubbas and ice cream to top off the day

Hiking sounded like a good idea and we were wanting to try that Guy Fieri restaurant in Santa Rosa. So we headed north to hike and have dinner.We went to Annadel state park to do a little 1.5 mile hike up to see a little pond.  http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=480 It was the perfect distance to do with a four year old. Lola loved seeing all of the lizards. We must have seen 30 of those little guys. And she kept trying to catch them. There were also these huge dandelion looking things that she blew. We saw a rabbit to in the tall grass where Lola said, "there might be tigers in this tall grass." We assured her there weren't any, but she wanted to ride on Daddy's shoulders just in case. The pond was very peaceful. It's hard to believe that there's a huge city outside when there was only the 5 of us hiking on the trail. We only passed a pair riding mt bikes. On the way out of the hike we saw a nice sized deer. That was kind of a treat. We headed over to Johnny Garlic to eat. It was not anything to brag about, but at least we've checked it off our list. We decided to go back via the Golden Gate Bridge. We caught the sunset just at dusk. It was so beautiful, not very much fog. Then we headed over to Ghiradelli to have our chocolate fix. Nice way to end our day.

Quick trip to the children's museum

We went over to the children's museum to listen to the live lunch time band. The girls had a great time exploring and we were able to meet up with some of our friends from dance. I sure had a fun time watching them be curious and dance when we went out to see the band.
