Potato science project

Remember how we started a science project about sunlight. Well, after a few months, our little spud only grew a short distance. I'm guessing the small sun exposure from the window was the reason. It only received sunlight a short period each day. The vines were suppose to grow toward the light and curve toward the opening at the opposite end. We'll try it again in the spring with more sunlight.

love leafs

My daughter never surprises me with the items she brings home from nature walks:) She is always so thoughtful. She brought me this collection of leaves and berries, and acorns when she was walking with Aunt Nichie. I love the simple gifts of love from nature!

Liberty Bell With Aunt Nichie

What would a trip to Philly be without a visit to the Liberty Bell? So we went to see the Liberty Bell, again. The bell stands for so much more than just our nation's independence, read more about The Bell here.

Valley forge

We took a quick stop off at the Valley Forge for Aunt Nichie to see where George Washington took his troops for the winter of 1777.

Aquarium with Aunt Nichie

We've been to the aquarium many times and have tried to feed the sting rays but they always ran out of fish. So today we made sure to be there early to buy the sardines. Lola and I fed them and Aunt Nichie documented the occasion with a little phone video. IT was awesome. Their mouth felt like tooth brush bristles. Lola was excited but really very nervous, but she did it.

This bird would say where's the cat? and Meow!

Christ Church

This bell you can touch:) This is the original bell that hung in the church. Lola is turning in to quite the little tour guide for Philly.

Dog show

Anyone who enjoys Best in Show, should one day take a voyage to the National Dog Show. It is really pretty funny to see the 'characters' at the event. We had a great time watching the demonstrations and seeing all the truly beautiful dogs. It was a good time.

Thankful quilt

Thanksgiving gives us all a chance to remember our friends and family. We are so thankful for those special people. For a homeschool project we mailed plates to friends and family to draw what they were thankful for. We had an excellent response. Thank you for participating. Your help meant so much to Lola.

Standing in a field of flowers behind Granny Fothergills house.

The Prewitt Team on a hike

Adam decided while we were in Kentucky to take us our on a hike.  We saw some deer, some nice flowers and alot of mud.

Lola & Foxy share the bed

During our visit with Grammy Carter, Lola got a chance to snuggle up with Foxy.  I think Foxy had really missed Lola.  I know that Lola sure misses her dog.

Vail Pit Stop

During our 5 day road trip from California to PA, we went across one of our old stomping grounds, Vail CO.  This was Lolas first time out in the snow "that she remebers" so we stopped at a rest area and allowed her to throw some snow.

Adam & Lola Racing

Adam needed a little help from Lola when they took on the NASCAR game at Dave & Busters.

Eric and the Sitar

While Eric and Adam were in California we had a chance to visit with Shashi a friend of mine from work. Shashi is an accomplished Sitar player but Eric picked it up quickly and played out some tunes for us one afternoon.

A very friendly little science museum tucked away in Philadelphia, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. We had a great time checking out the dinosaur fossils. She really enjoyed digging for the fossils too.
