A jungle inside!

We've been enjoying going to this fun place where the kids can play and play on a rainy day. They have a huge jungle gym thing the kids can play and climb on while the moms can chat. Lola really loves going there.

End of Semester at Dance/Gym

Going to Dance and Gym once a week is such a treat for Lola. She had her end of semester show where they did a little hula dance and showed their skills on the gym stuff. She was not in her usual class because of a cold so she was a little nervous at first. We sure love watching her do her performance.

Fun time @ museum

The water fun section at the kids museum is so mesmerizing for the kids. Lola could play there all day. They have cyclones and water fountains and waterway play. Her boyfriends met us there one day. They had fun painting their faces like whales.

Fortune Cookies

In preparation for the coming Chinese New Year, we made some homemade fortune cookies. The hardest part was coming up with some fortunes. Lola's favorite was "You are a hotdog on a stick" Inside joke of course.

New Bike! New Bike!

How exciting to buy our girl her first Bicycle! She was at the store when we picked one out and her only criteria was that the bike needed a purse. She helped daddy add the training wheels with the wrench. And made sure the 'purse' was on just right.

Snakes!

Loving the fact that my little girl is so into animals and that she is not squirmish around reptiles or amphibians. Here's a snake we both like to check out at the local refuge, the San Francisco garter snake :) She looks forward to petting the boa during the animal show. Another fun thing to do here is play at a pretty awesome park and for some reason there were about 20 Turkey Vultures lurking around the tops of some of the trees.

Santa Cruz.. wait a minute weren't we just here?

Running through the sand on the beach is never boring for my three year old. When Grammy came to town the weekend after her brothers, Lola was very anxious to take Grammy to see the ocean and ride the historical carousel.

Sea Pens

Grammy came to visit for Mommy's birthday. We had a fun Fun time at the aquarium. Check out these really cool things called Sea Pen. Grammy loves going with Lola because Lola tells her all about the exhibits. Lola liked showing her the room where the waves come crashing over your head. Grammy really liked the sea horses too. And of course finished the Monterrey trip off with an ice cream cone from Ghiradelli.

Playdate in the woods

Lola's girlfriend from school came over to play and went for a hike. They had fun taking turns pulling the wagon. They found some cool mushrooms. They went tree house hunting .... It was fun then later Lola pretended to go to bed while she read her a story.

Sunshine @ Santa Cruz!

Sunshine! Sunshine! Whohooo! With half of the boardwalk closed for cleaning we still had a great time! Lola took her brother's on the carousel that you throw rings at the clown. We found a whole sand dollar, played in the sand and chased the surf. It was such a beautiful California Day! (finally...)

Dinner on the Pier

The Christmas Tree on the Pier 39 looked so beautiful. We ate dinner downtown and then strolled around the fisherman's wharf for a while. There was a guy singing behind her that she really wanted to hear that's why she is turned the wrong way in the photo. Adam took Lola on a ride at the carousel too.

Taking Eric 'Hiking'

Open space is a real gift if you live in a city so we like to take a stroll through some once in a while. While the boys have been visiting it's been so rainy and we finally had a break in the showers so that Lola could take her brother for a 'hike'. She stopped and drew a map in the dirt with a stick at one point- it was so cute. She took her stuffed bat along in the stroller. Then, like the monkeys they are they climbed up a tree. :)
