Hot and Windy @ Mt Scott in Oklahoma

Picnicking with a raccoon was a new experience when we visited with Grandpa Randall in Oklahoma. It was a classic Oklahoma summer day, very hot (110) and very windy. We were very thankful for the wind because it helped the temperature not feel so scorching. The poor little raccoon must not have eaten in a while because the little guy came running out of the woods and basically sat at our table while we fed it blueberry muffins and dorritos and plums. Lola loved watching it eat. After the raccoon had it's belly full, it scurried up the tree and took a nap- keeping one eye out to see if we were dropping anything for later. When we finished having our raccoon picnic we hiked on top of Mt Scott. Lola enjoyed it, my poor city girl, so much she needs to learn.... like don't stick your hand under that rock there could be spiders or snakes.... It was cute. Then we drove around looking for some buffalo.. We finally saw some on our way out. Papa even picked up a little stuffed river otter for the Doll at the gift shop. Thanks for a fun day.
