Quick trip to the children's museum

We went over to the children's museum to listen to the live lunch time band. The girls had a great time exploring and we were able to meet up with some of our friends from dance. I sure had a fun time watching them be curious and dance when we went out to see the band.

Nolan's birthday & some baking

Lola's boyfriend had his 5th Birthday this weekend. Lola loved the bounce house and playing with all the hot wheels. And of course eating the cake. After we had our fill of birthday fun we headed home to do some baking. Lola and I made daddy some of his favorite cookies- thumb print cookies with black berry jam. And a fresh cherry pie! both very yummy. Lola really liked decorating the top of the pie.[gallery columns="4"]

playing + Kalani visited

The girls were back up to playing all day. Lola likes doing things that make her 'helper' while playing with Kiku. So blowing bubbles is right up her alley. She also has been taking a very big initiative in keeping the fish fed lately. Which is one less thing I have to worry about. Today the girls were having a good time playing house and dressing up the magnet dolls. Later, we had a little visitor from the neighborhood stop by and Kiku was very happy to show him where all the fun toys were. We were expecting Lola's boyfriend to come later in the day so we dug out our 'boy toys'- the train. She had fun showing Kiku how to play them. Then after lunch Lola's boyfriend from school was able to come play. She was so happy to have him over for a couple of hours. Later when daddy came home we went to the mall so she could give us a list for things she would like for her birthday. She plopped herself down in the stuffed toy tower and fit right in. Splashing in the hot sun

Picnic in the sunshine, what a nice way to spend the afternoon. We dressed up in some cute white sun dresses and met up with one of Lola's girlfriends. The mommies spent some time catching up while the girls playing in the water feature. It was a bit chilly with the wind but Lola didn't care. This park also had a really cool spider web area that the girls climbed around on. After the park we went to their house and watched a movie and Lola held the new baby. Also, I'd like to note that Lola's new favorite song she's been listening to on the iphone is "California Girls" by Katy perry.[gallery columns="4" orderby="ID"]

Swim date

Lola had some friends from church come over for the holiday. We cooked some burgers and mac&cheese. What a great way to spend a sunny day in California, splashing around the pool. Lola looked soo cool with her curls from the night before and the glasses were just the perfect accessory.[gallery columns="4"]

Monkeying around

[slideshow]We took Kiku to Lola's favorite place to climb and jump and met up with her girlfriend too. Kiku was enjoying all the loud kids and learning to cross the rope bridges. Lola could stay all day but they only sell the time by the hour. After playing there we went over to Lola's girlfriends for lunch and to feed the ducks. All the girls had a great time. On the ride home they both fell asleep so mommy grabbed her book and read in the car so they could finish sleeping. Man, were they tired. When they woke up we fed our 'pet blue bird' some peanuts and played with the Dumbo bubble blower. Lola is wearing a new Indian dress that Kiku's grandma sent. She really loves it; we had to go to the store to get some shoes to match it.

Happy Hallow

Happy Hallow was a fun place to spend a day. We met one of Lola's girlfriends there for the day. Man, did they have fun! There are so many rides that are just the right size for them. And a bunch of animals to check out. All the girls had fun digging in the sand at the dinosaur hunt area. [slideshow]
