When we took out the Halloween decoration last week, Lola has been eyeing the Halloween sprinkles. She’s been wondering when are we going to make some cookies Or When can I eat those colored sugar little ghosts and pumpkins.... So we made time today to make some sugar cookies. ... Would anyone like some advice on cutout sugar cookies... Once you have the dough mixed up, roll it out between two pieces of wax paper, then stick the wax paper with the cookie dough flattened into the freezer for a couple of minutes. Once it’s kinda solid but not frozen take back out and punch out the cookies. For years I used the flour method of cutting out. But it’s so messy and the dough is so sticky it would always stick to the cutters, especially the detailed ones like giraffes or airplanes. So now we do it this way and the cookies turn out great!
