During our 5 day road trip from California to PA, we went across one of our old stomping grounds, Vail CO. This was Lolas first time out in the snow "that she remebers" so we stopped at a rest area and allowed her to throw some snow.

Eric and the Sitar
While Eric and Adam were in California we had a chance to visit with Shashi a friend of mine from work. Shashi is an accomplished Sitar player but Eric picked it up quickly and played out some tunes for us one afternoon.

Camping at French Creek State Park
On a finally, rain free weekend we packed up the car and headed to the closest state park to let Lola have a camping adventure. Adam was a big help setting up camp.It was so nice to just hang out by the fire and roast some marshmallows. In the morning we headed out for a hike. Lola had hiking boots and was very eager to get going. We packed sandwiches to eat when we stopped for lunch. We only saw some birds and a couple squirrels. When we returned to pack up the tents, there was this what seemed like friendly turkey. She was just hanging around, looking for something to snack on it looked like. So we told Lola to stand near it so we could take her picture. The hen just stood there and let Lola have her picture made. Then when the turkey found out it was getting a bite of bread, it started to try and get a little finger instead- Lola took off running through the bushes. It was quite a surprise for all of us to watch that turkey chase Lola.

Monday Morning Library
It is so fun to have such a nice library in the area. Lola takes as many books that will fit in the bag:) she's getting pretty good at scanning them in too.
