Evan's Orchard with Eric

It's that time of year when the apples need to be picked:) One of our favorite fall activities is to go to a pick your own apple orchard. If you have never done this, you should go at least once. Being in nature and experiencing the harvest is really part of the balance of life. This particular orchard had a lot of fun extras:) Lola and Eric had a great time in the hamster races and going through the maze.

Hiking around the neighborhood

 Sharing a nature hike with her brother was fun. They carried a box to collect leaves and sticks and rocks, just in case. She showed him the trail we like and how to walk on the rocks in the little stream. It was such a nice day.

Birthday Lunch

Our trips down to Lexington have been quite beneficial in giving focused time to reading. Lola reads and reads all the way. She has fun picking out a bag of books too. This afternoon we met with family to celebrate her cousin’s birthday.
