Pajama Day at School

If you let a girl wear her pajamas to school, she'll want to wear her bathrobe too. She thought it was so silly to wear them. She also let her pink flamingo accompany her to school.

Girls Day

We had a house full of girls today. 5 little girls and 2 mommies

. Lola was able to hold the girls baby sister for a minute. Fun times

New New Baby

Lola has been holding a lot of baby's lately. Here she is holding the newest of our friends little baby's. Very cute.

Welcome Baby Cookies

Our friends had a little girl so I whipped up a batch of very cute and tasty baby themed cookies. Luckily for the icing I had a bunch of those wilton melting candy to use, and they were pink! mmm I wish I had some left over.

Morning

After wearing  a braid in her hair over the night, the Doll's hair was very cute with a bit of wave in it.

Roarr, says Lola tiger

The preschool Lola goes to was participating in this fair one saturday morning so we headed over to see if we could see some of her art work. They had a face painter there. The lady asked Lola what she wanted and we were hoping she'd say a little flower or a rainbow or something to take up a cheek. Well, she told the face painter that she wanted to be a tiger. So she became a tiger. She also kissed a frog while we were downtown.

We hadn't seen our squirrel friend in a while, but one afternoon Lola and I were sitting on the couch and there it was. So we scrounged up some nuts to give him. Lola was very excited to see him again.

Tea for Two plus two mommies:)

Back from vacation and back to meeting girlfriends. Lola had her girlfriend over to play and have a little tea party. Her friend brought over some very cute tea cups and some scones to share. They sure are growing into polite young ladies..

Hanging out in the Hottub

California fun! While it was snowing in Denver, Eric was enjoying a nice relaxing time in the hottub with Lola.

We decided to make some homemade crepes one morning. They were very tasty, especially with the fresh strawberries. Yum, Yum! After our tasty breakfast we headed over to six flags to let Bubba ride some rides with Lola.[gallery]

Bubba picks me up from school

Lola was very excited to have her brother come pick her up from school on afternoon. She let him give her a high shoulder ride home. What a cool big brother.

Teddy bear dancing

[slideshow]Dancing with a teddy bear was a treat for the Doll. During the gym part of class, they were laying on the jump track to help deflate it. Notice that my girl is the only one not laying on her back. Always different :)

School Work

During the week we 'try' to fit in some school work on days she doesn't go to preschool. In this picture she's wearing a bunny mask while she cuts out some of her work. She's very proud when she finishes. She always tapes them up on the window when she finishes.

Making our Easter Cookies a little late

We didn't get the chance to make our Easter cookies while we were in Kentucky (Probably because my little girl had the flu) so we decided to make them when we came home. We had some cute stamping one's from William Sonoma that were very fun to use. [slideshow]

Headed Home last day of Road trip

After grabbing Eric we headed up to Wyoming to stay the night. We had a quick swim in the hotel pool and headed out across Utah. Which is where we came across the great salt lake. We stopped by the side of the road to take a picture. Some tourists had left their marks by leaving their names spelled out in beer  bottles or rocks. Very glad to be back home finally.

Zoo with Grammy and Cousins

After driving for a very long day we stayed the night in Denver. In the morning we met our friend for coffee and then later we went to the zoo with Grammy and Lola's cousins. She had a great time getting to know them and checkin out the animals. We liked seeing the  Polar Bears and the ant eater. She even took a toy ant eater home. [slideshow]

Keeneland and Adam's Birthday

Nothing's cuter than a girl in a big hat at the horse races.  We had a fun time trying to guess which horse would win the different races. Lola liked going over to the paddocks to see the color each one was wearing before she bet on one. After one race one of the horses was headed back to the stable and the trainer told her she could pet it. But she had never pet a horse of that caliber and it was snorting and stamping because it had just come from the race. She just barely pet the horse's head.  Then later we cooked Adam a steak and made him a cake. Lola helped with the decorating and blowing out the candles. [slideshow][gallery]

Visiting Great Granny

Lola enjoyed the time she spent at Great Granny's. She walked around Granny's newly planted garden. She hid her Easter Eggs and found them again and again. She picked flowers and feasted on fried fish. Great time in the fresh Kentucky air.

Horse park, Golf, & sleep

Since we were in Kentucky, we decided we should let the Doll ride a pony. At the horse park they had a number of horses to look at and Lola had her heart on riding a full sized horse. But we had to break the news to her that she was only big enough to ride the ponies.... She liked it but we could tell she was a little sad. After the horse park we met Adam and Adam to play some golf. She ran all over the place and drove the golf cart. It was a great day! Then she was out like a light from all the fresh air.

Fishin with Aunt Gigi

One thing that Lola had on her list to do was to go Fishin. Aunt Gigi brought the poles and we picked up some worms. It was pretty windy so the bobbers kept just blowing up on the shore. Lola and Daddy managed to catch a couple little guys though. On the way back from the lake we stopped at this field of daylilies to take a few pictures.

Happy Easter

Well, sort of .. Lola had the flu :( She was not a happy camper. We managed to make it to church and have the Easter bunny's basket ready. But the rest of the day Lola was in bed. Poor thing. It was nice having everyone together for Easter dinner.

Come on Granny, Let's go get some eggs! What a treat to go to a wonderful egg hunt. Lola loved spending the time with her Granny. She was especially happy to have the candy inside the eggs :)

What a nice day to get in some golfing. The Doll liked putting when we would get to the greens.

Country girl fun

Growing up in the city our daughter has missed some country lessons that her parents experienced. So she had a great time visiting Aunt Gigi one afternoon. She was very eager to try to catch frogs and butterflies. She loved being chased by the dogs. She became so frustrated at the cats hiding under the porch. She picked a ton of flowers whether wild or not. She was brave about removing garden snakes from the porch until one started wiggling off the rake.. She decided she only likes the ones that are in cages now.
