My Cool New Jack in the Box
One of the books Mommy has been reading suggests toys for me. So lucky me I have a new Jack in the Box. I like to help Daddy hold the handle. I think that when the Jack jumps out that it scares my doggies. I have been playing with cloth books lately. I enjoy shaking them open then tossing them on the floor. I have been singing with the music that plays on my swing too. (Mommy will try to video tape it.)
My 1st Trip to the Zoo!
My Aunt Nichie and Mom took me to the zoo for the first time on Friday September 29th. On the way there I chatted back and forth like I knew what Mom was telling me we would see. We met some friends from church at the front. I had a lot of fun having everyone carry me. I took a quick nap in my stroller though. I really liked seeing the waterfall in the bird house. I saw lots of monkeys and the penguins. I did Not like the smell of the elephant house. I made Mom take me out for some clean air. Mostly I liked to see all of the other children.

I can grab my toes!
I found my toes on wednesday without Mommy and Daddy's help. Now that I know they are on my feet I grab them and hold them. I can laugh too. When Daddy and I were playing he gave me kisses on my belly and it made me laugh a big laugh (not just a giggle). since I am so good at grabbing things now I decided to go for one of those barking animals that are always around. Tator didn't think it was such a good idea. He yelped and ran away. I also like to hold on to Mommy's hair like it's a rope.

What's new this week with Lola
Our Lola doll is doing some new activities. For one thing she is holding herself up so good that we found a simple walker for her to scoot around the kitchen. (She's only moving a few inches now but she is a quick learner.) She likes it a lot better than her bouncy chair. At night she is really sleeping well. She has been feeding at around midnight or one then sleeping until 7 or 7:30. Another new thing she has been up to is chewing on her fingers and slobbering all down her chin. She doesn't really like to chew on her chew toys yet, but she is chewing on her little pink doll. The pink doll is her favorite toy right now to have. She will grab on to it and hold it- really sweet. When she is laying on the floor now she will do mini set ups and lift her feet. She's still talking up a storm at times especially first thing in the morning. Which is one of the best ways to wake up in the morning to hear your daughter jabbering..

Lola's Baptism 9-17--06
We are so proud of Lola. She was Baptized on Sunday morning. So many of our friends came to help make the day extra special. We look forward to teaching Lola all about the Bible and her heavenly Father who loves her too. "Surely goodnes and love will follow me all the days of my life." Psalm 23:6.What a joyous day for us.

Three Months
Our Lola Doll is now twelve weeks! She is always trying to sit up. She eats about 5-6 oz at a feeding and weighs about 12 lbs. She is really a sweet baby. She is wearing mostly 3 month size clothes. Even though she slept through the night one night she is still waking up at around midnight to feed - hey one time is okay with mommy. She has been drooling some and chewing on her knuckles. We love listening to her jabber. She has been saying more than goo. She really likes to talk to the fish in the morning. She still has blue eyes too. We are going to have her baptized on Sunday.

Girls weekend
We took Daddy and Eric to the airport first thing friday morning. They were going to visit Adam at school and go to a race. So me and Mom are going to do a little shopping and a little house work. Friday night I went to Miss Loretta's house while Mom and Grandma went to a play at church. Saturday Morning we took our time getting around for the day. Then we went to the post office to mail some pictures to Grandpa and a gift to my cousin Kaylee. Saturday Afternoon we took a nap. After our nap my Aunt Nichie came to have dinner with us. We hung out on the couch and watched tv while mom fell asleep on the floor.

I slept through the night
On Wednesday my parents woke extra rested. I slept through the night! I have been eating about 5 oz now and mostly cat napping in the day. (Except when my mom needs a nap then I sleep for two hours in the afternoon with her) I have been grabbing things too. I like pinching and flopping the blanket up and down. I have also been moved to the tub for baths

Labor Day Weekend
For the Labor Day Weekend ... Friday Dad took off a little early and we went to visit my brother at the ice cream shop.Saturday we hung out at the house mostly- we did have to go get me some diapers though. Sunday we went to church then took a nap. For dinner Dad made a brisket and grandma came over to watch the race. Monday we took a little trip to Boulder. It wasn't as fun as it use to be said Mom and Dad. (a lot of the shops were closed) So we stopped at Flatirons on the way home. We were looking for some things to mail to my brother Adam but we didn't really find what we were looking for. Mom picked me out some warm clothes that were on sale too.

My little duck dress
One day last week mom and I went shopping with Ms. Suzie to a store called Chocolate Soup. It's a kids store that has some unique clothes. One of the dresses mom bought me was based on the book that Daddy brought me back from Boston. It has the momma duck and the baby ducks all over it. So I wore it right after Mommy washed it, then she read me the 'Make way for Ducklings story again. Another day we went and found a mobile for my crib. The doctor says I need to start going to bed at a routine time at night and having the mobile might be helpful.
Summer is coming to an end
The temperature here has dropped for the weekend. It has only been about 58 degrees and we had to turn the heater on! A lot of the trees are turning colors and the spiders are looking into moving in with us. We put some footsie pajamas on Lola and she was too long for the new born ones. When we had our doctors visit she measured out to be 23 inches long. She was in the 75% for her age babies height and head circumference and on the 50% for the weight. The doctor said that she was an average weight and only 25% of the babies are taller than her. She has been trying to pull herself up when she is sitting on our laps. She would rather be sitting up and down than laying at an angle. It's fun watching her try but she just doesn't have the stomach muscles yet. She also has such smiles that could brighten anyone's day. One night we were eating out and we were telling the waiter that 'she's such a happy baby,' and she smiled so big the waiter said, " I think she heard you."
